The Disability Discrimination Act 2005
(DDA 2005)

The Disability Discrimination Act 2005 (DDA 2005) applies to all employers and everyone who provides a service to the public, except the Armed Forces.

From October 2004 companies and organisations that provide services to the public are required by the Disability Discrimination Act to ensure that those services are reasonably accessible to disabled people. In many cases the most sensible/obvious way of doing so will be to ensure that the building within which the service is offered is accessible.

We can carry out accessible audits of your premises and advise how best to achieve compliance with this statutory requirement. We can also provide accessible adaptation designs and solutions to achieve compliance in accordance with BS8300.
